Meet our Teachers
Laurie Kreg - Program Director/Lead Teacher

Hello! My name is Laurie, and I am the enthusiastic heart of PCCN. My methods of teaching challenge children to think for themselves and be creative. I am always happy to speak with parents on all issues pertaining to their child's learning experience. I want everyone to feel welcome and special. I specialize in providing support for children with special needs.

I am wrapping up my 24th year at PCCN Preschool and cannot imagine growing old any place else! There is a magic that takes place each and every day with our learners. We become confident explorers, independent thinkers, problem solvers, motivated inventors, and we do it together, through play, always and in all ways. Learning expectations have certainly changed over the years. At PCCN, we know best practice for our youngest learners is to gift them opportunities that support their interests and ideas, provide support as they navigate their expanding world, and teach the whole child. I believe in the excitement and wonder of each new day and so do our learners. We grow together, as a community, to become responsible, joyful learners. When our learners are ready to grow away to the big school they are more ready to soar than I am to have them leave!

PCCN pledges to provide the highest quality programming for all learners. We meet your child exactly where they are. Our teachers attend a minimum of 24 professional development training hours each year. Teachers have extensive training in but not limited to: Anti-Bias Education, Trauma Informed Teaching, Creative Curriculum and MTS Assessment, Supporting Challenging Behaviors, Teaching with an Equity Lens, Sensory Processing Disorder, Love and Logic, and Handwriting without Tears.

Tiffany Warren - Lead Teacher
Hello! My name is Tiffany Warren and I'm the lead teacher here at PCCN. This is my first year at PCCN, but I have years of experience in the preschool field and truly believe this is my calling in life. When I'm in the classroom my heart is full. I love watching my children grow throughout the year, dancing to our favorite silly songs, and even getting dirty while playing outside.

My beliefs come from my education background accomplished at Central Michigan University. Children are all unique with various interests and develop their unique development and growth patterns. As a teacher, I will support their growth and development through Early Childhood standards and experience. Children's development is constantly developing and changing, and I will demonstrate knowledge of how young children differ in the development and approaches to learning. I recognize there are differences when it comes to learning styles, approaches to learning, and preferences for learning when it comes to children.

When it comes to families, I understand and value the diversity in family characteristics. I will  create a respectful, responsive, and reciprocal relationship with families and engage with that as partners in their children's development and learning.

Every child deserves to learn and grow at their own pace, use their creative imaginations, be confident in social emotional skills, and learn through play. This approach in a high-quality preschool setting is the recipe for the perfect learning environment.

Being Program Director for PCCN Preschool has proven to be such a blessing in my life. Every day I am privileged to participate in watching children grow and learn through play and laughter. I believe in children. I believe in the power of play. I believe that growth is unlimited in a safe, loving, learning environment. I believe in PCCN Preschool!

Play is the primary learning tool used with preschool age children. At PCCN, we learn to play and grow together. PCCN Preschool promotes cooperation, laughter, respect for self and others, as well as the ability to understand and accept differences. Hands learn by touching, building, exploring. Our program offers little people the opportunity to believe in themselves, to learn to take risks, and to love every adventure in learning! I believe preschoolers need to learn to make choices, figure out how things work, learn to share time and space, and to be active listeners. In all areas of play, children are constantly learning. They are building a foundation for future successes in education by becoming confident children. Preschool should be free from the pressure to master a skill that a child may not yet be ready to comprehend. Learning should be fun. PCCN Preschool provides the necessary social skills that little people need to become confident learners.
