Mrs. Kreg meets the children at their cars. After helping this child out of his car, Mrs. Kreg walks him into school. A child hangs up her backpack as she arrives at school. A parent helper helps this child put her folder in her cubby. The children wait for all of their friends to arrive. While children are arriving for class, the other children sit on circles and look at books. Children start their day by saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Mrs. Kreg assigns daily duties for the children, which is a highlight of the day. Mrs. Kreg introduces the love box to the class and goes over what the children will learn during class. Children sit in a circle as they start their day. Children put their circles away before free choice time. Children cover the tables for free choice time. A few friends play with ponies during free choice time. A couple frogs play with the popular train set during free choice time. With a participation parent, our frogs make apple prints during art time. Working with Mrs. Kreg, these children work on writing their name. These children get messy with paint while making apple prints using different cuts of apples. This child has fun getting messy with his art project and Mrs. Kreg. This child is working with a WMU student and learning how a scale works. This child uses cookie cutters and rolling pins to make her masterpiece with Flubber. This child plays at the flubber table during free choice time. During free choice time, this child plays a game. These children practice cutting out paper with scissors. These children enjoy playing a game together during free choice time. This child works on his project that has a "fall" theme. These children play together and share during free choice time. These children build their Mr. Potato Head masterpieces. The class pet is a bird named Daubers. Each child gets a special day. Friends ask questions to get to know their friend better. After our free choice time and art time, we get into a circle where we exercise our bodies by dancing to some music. After sharing special items brought from home, the children get ready for snack time. Children line up to wash their hands before snack time. Parent helpers bring snacks for the children to enjoy. The 4 year old classes serve themselves. Mrs. Kreg teaches us silly songs during circle time. We learn the Five Little Pumpkins song and Mrs Kreg even uses a mitten to help us count down the pumpkins. Today, we all tried 3 different kinds of apples, chose our favorite, and created a graph to show the most popular apple. Mrs. Kreg goes over the calendar. Weather and time permitting, the children go outside and play. The children love riding on the big wheels! The children have fun pretending in the little house before being picked up to go home.
