A Message from Mrs. Kreg:

Being Program Director for PCCN Preschool has proven to be such a blessing in my life. Every day I am privileged to participate in watching children grow and learn through play and laughter. I believe in children. I believe in the power of play. I believe that growth is unlimited in a safe, loving, learning environment. I believe in PCCN Preschool!

Play is the primary learning tool used with preschool age children. At PCCN Preschool, we learn to play and grow together. PCCN Preschool promotes cooperation, laughter, respect for self and others, as well as the ability to understand and accept differences. Hands learn by touching, building, exploring. Our program offers little people the opportunity to believe in themselves, to learn to take risks, and to love every adventure in learning!! I believe preschoolers need to learn to make choices, figure out how things work, learn to share time and space, and to be active listeners. In all areas of play, children are constantly learning. They are building a foundation for future successes in education by becoming confident children. Preschool should be free from the pressure to master a skill that a child may not yet be ready to comprehend. Learning should be fun. PCCN Preschool provides the necessary social skills that little people need to become confident learners.

Teresa West - Lead Teacher

Teresa holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, has previously been part of a high quality KCReady4s pre-K program, and has exceptional curriculum planning and implementation skills. She is passionate about little people, providing quality programming that meets best practice guidelines for early childhood education, and has years of experience in the world of cooperative preschool programs.

A Message from Mrs. West:
I am a graduate of Western Michigan University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. My family and I live in Portage. I have 6 years of preschool teaching experience, the last 4 of those being a lead teacher. I taught 3 years in a co-op preschool in Kalamazoo and my oldest son attended PCCN so I understand how rare and awesome it is to share in the co-op experience!

Teaching Pre-k is not my only passion. I have 3 beautiful kids. Evan, Owen and Allie. I have also been happily married for 7 years. I love to be with my husband and children. We are homebodies! ☺ If I happen to have any spare time between teaching and raising a family, I enjoy watching movies, reading, crafting and spending time with friends.
